Abstract

We present an all fiber, octave spanning, supercontinuum source based on a pulsed Erbium fiber laser and short lengths of highly-nonlinear, dispersion-shifted fiber. Tuning the dispersion in the nonlinear fiber enhances the supercontinuum’s spectral width.
