Yb3+-doped ceramic lasers

Abstract

We succeeded in fabricating Yb3+-doped YAG, Y2O3, and Sc2O3 ceramics. Yb3+:YAG ceramic laser was developed, and output power of 345 mW was obtained absorbed power of 2.4 W, lasing at 1030 nm.
