Compact Prismless Low-Threshold 30MHz Femtosecond Ti:Al2O3 Laser

Abstract

A compact, low threshold, prismless Ti:Al2O3 laser is demonstrated using a novel multi-pass cavity. The laser oscillator has a repetition rate of 29 MHz but measures 30 cm×50 cm and uses 1.5 W of pump power to generate 27-fs, 1.4-nJ pulses.
