Abstract
Tunable solid state lasers can provide high-power and have a number of practical applications in telecommunication, sensing and spectroscopy. Bulk diffraction gratings are often used for tuning. Fiber Bragg gratings (FBG) are seldom used in conjunction with mini-lasers. We show the possibility to lock the emission of an Er:Yb glass laser to a FBG and continuously tune it over 20 nm with narrow linewidth.
