Abstract

We report the first successful experimental demonstration of multi-wavelength second harmonic generation (SHG) from an aperiodic optical superlattice (AOS) structure in a z-cut lithium niobate.1,2 The numerical technique to implement the AOS design is the so-called simulated annealing method,3 where the crystal domain block is sequentially chosen when the conversion efficiency of the design wavelengths is sequentially optimized.
