Abstract
We present results of a systematic study of the existence and stability of two-dimensional (2D) spatial discrete solitons in an array (bundle) of second-harmonic-generating (χ(2)) waveguides. Previously, limited results were published for discrete solitons in a 1D array.1 The 2D generalization produces new types of discrete solitons which can be experimentally created and used for applications in optical-lattice systems.
