Abstract
We report the first observation of a subpsec THz pulse propagating as a superposition of WGM modes of a dielectric cylinder. Unlike other WGM-related studies that use a single frequency cw laser as the coupling source,1 we use subpsec THz pulses generated by a photoconductively switched coplanar stripline. Consequently, the coupled WGM pulse covers a continuous frequency range from 0.4 THz to 1.8 THz and consists of a superposition of several WGM modes.
