Abstract

This work is the first step of the development of a very-broad-bandwidth optical spectrum analyzer for radio frequency (RF) signals. Indeed very-wide-bandwidth RF signals can be transferred on optical carrier waves with the help of integrated electro-optic modulators. RADAR and sub-millimetric astronomical waves arc the applications aimed at. The spectrometer would feature a bandwidth exceeding 10 GHz together with MHz resolution.
