Abstract

Many in the ultrafast, optical frequency metrology, quantum control, and chemistry communities share the dream of accessing an unlimited phase-coherent optical bandwidth. One way this could be practically realized is by tightly synchronizing and phase-locking an array of mode-locked lasers with different gain media spanning the desired wavelength regions of interest.
