Abstract
Current advances in lithographic techniques and materials engineering have led to record short attainable poling periods and allowed efficient frequency up-conversion from the infrared to the visible and ultraviolet [1,2]. However, the traditional choice of the solid-state, diode pumped or diode laser sources limits the range of accessible wavelengths while the linear absorption of most ferroelectric materials like PPKTP and PPLN restricts the use of these materials for high power generation in the ultraviolet wavelength range.
