Abstract
Stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in different mediums is widely accepted method for the frequency conversion of the radiation generated in laser systems with different types of pump from flash-lamps to laser diodes, A special place in this direction is occupied by solid-state mediums that allow the laser generation and nonlinear frequency conversion (so called self-frequency conversion) to be simultaneously achieved in one crystal.
