Abstract

In this contribution, we report results of an all-optical switching experiment in a phase- shifted fiber Bragg grating. A low power, continuous wave (cw), probe beam is switched off (on) by an intense pump beam. In the experiment it is used a 2-mm-long Gaussian apodized phase-shifted grating with a 450-MHz wide notch at 1550 nm.1
