Abstract
Periodically poled ferroelectric crystals have been extensively used in nonlinear optical devices such as frequency doublers and optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) due to the large effective nonlinear coefficients, deff accessible through quasi-phasematching and the possibility to engineer them for noncritical interaction.
