Abstract

High resolution strain measurements are becoming increasingly desirable in the civil, mechanical and aerospace fields. Other considerations such as compactness of apparatus and speed of measurement acquisition further increase the attractiveness of a system. In this work a system and results are presented in which high resolution strain measurements are acquires at fast rates. A theoretical strain situation is modeled and compared to acquired measurements.
