Linear stability analysis of dispersion-managed solitons controlled by filters

Abstract

The use of optical bandpass filters is effective in reducing frequency and energy fluctuations of solitons in both standard and dispersion-managed (DM) systems. In DM soliton systems, the spectral width of the pulse is not constant along the fiber, which makes the effect of filters dependent of their position in the dispersion map.
