Abstract

Future large-scale interferometric gravitational wave detectors (such as those being developed by LIGO, VIRGO, GEO, TAMA, and ACIGA) will use frequency- and amplitude-stabilized, high-power (10 W) cw lasers for sensitive readout of the gravitational wave signal.
