Abstract
An intracavity optical parametric oscillator (OPO) in a passively Q-switched laser was developed (see Fig. 1). The system included a Nd3+-doped yttrium lithium fluoride (Nd: YLF) gain medium, a Cr4+-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (CnYAG) crystal passive Q-switch, and a 2-cm-long potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) crystal cut for type II noncritical phase matching as the OPO wavelength converter.
