Abstract
The recent success of cw tunable radiation has brought much attention to difference-frequency generation (DFG)1 as a tunable infrared source, which is needed in areas such as infrared spectroscopy, remote sensing, chemical analysis, and medical research. So far, how ever, DFG has been realized with pulsed pump lasers and the operation of two pulsed lasers restricts the performance of DFG.
