Electrical control optical delay lines made of y-junction SOA switches

Abstract

Electrical control optical delay lines1,2 are very important optoelectronic subsystems that can be used for many different applications. They can be used for phased-array antenna systems and provide a bank of fast reconfigurable true delays for antenna beam steering.
