Abstract
With respect to the nonlinear frequency conversion in optical fibers (OFs), the large-core low-loss multimode OFs ensure, in comparison to single-mode OFs, more efficient launching and supporting along the fiber length of powerful pump laser emission, higher damage threshold of the fiber-optic material at powerful pumping, higher power levels of overall Raman Stokes generation, and broadband continuous frequency conversion in the UV, visible, and near-IR region of the optical spectrum.1–4
