Abstract

Novel two-dimensional wavelength-division multiplexins (WDM) optical interconnects, in which transmitting and receiving planes incorporate wavelength selectivity, can provide significant capacity and functionality enhancements in which one plane can communicate reconfigurably and simultaneously with many other planes.
