Abstract

Recently the fabrication of active waveguide on an appropriate substrate has received an increasing amount of interest. Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is one of the attractive materials for such applications. In this study we describe the fabrication of BaTiO3 and Nd:BaTiO3 thin films by pulsed-laser deposition process, and their optical nonlinear and fluorescent properties along with crystallographical nature.
