Abstract

Nonlinear frequency-doubling mirror (NFDM) that consists of a frequency-doubling crystal and mirror situated behind it [Fig. 1(a)] was investigated by us theoretically with respect to the phase and intensity of the reflected fundamental waves. NFDMs with nonlinear (NL) crystals at exact phase-matched condition were previously used as mode-locking devices.1
