Abstract

Tunable all-solid-state infrared sources are currently been sought for a number of applications. As has been previously demonstrated,1,2 the 1-μm pumped and noncritically phase-matched (NCPM), potassium-titanyl-phosphate-(KTP) based optical parametric oscillator (OPO) can be a highly efficient and reliable source. However, it cannot be tuned effectively. In this paper, we report a newly developed all-solid-state, Type-III critically phase-matched (CPM) KTP OPO.
