Abstract

We performed wavelength-multiplexed holographic recording using reflection geometry with a carrier-increased cerium-doped strontium barium niobate (Ce-SBN) single crystal and a wavelength-tunable laser diode (LD). The Ce-SBN crystal has a high recording sensitivity and a high diffraction efficiency. The tunable LD is small and easy to operate. Therefore, together they have the potential for small-size real-time multiplexed holographic data storage.
