Abstract
In recently developed tunable light sources such as phonon-terminated solid-state lasers and optical parametric oscillators, the tuning region is limited by the bandwidth of available coatings rather than the active material. To overcome such restrictions, we have developed an extremely broad-band., low-loss coating. Actually, using such broad-band coating, we have developed a Ti:sapphire laser, which does not require any change of optics over its full tuning range tuning.1
