Abstract

Optical imaging in scattering media has generated much interest in recent years because of its potential as a diagnostic tool in medicine. We have developed a femtosecond optical parametric amplifier (OPA) and applied it to detect unscattered or backscattered photons, which have travelled through a scattering medium made of nanospheres of latex in water.
