Abstract

In the search of an efficient diode-pumped high-power laser source Yb:YAG plays an important role due to its low thermal loading and its wide absorption band at 940 nm.1 A power-scalable concept using these features has been recently demonstrated.2 Additionally, Yb: YAG can support femtosecond pulses due to its broad emission spectrum.
