Abstract

We present a four-wave mixing (FWM) experiment using a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) fabricated at Alcatel Alsthom Recherche.1 Similarly to Ref. 2 the FWM process is analyzed via the nonlinear susceptibilities for carrier density pulsation (CDP), the spectral hole burning (SHE) and the carrier heating (CH).
