Abstract
The demonstration of chirped puke amplification (CFA) technique with erbium-doped fiber amplifiers has resulted in generation of femtosecond pulses with energies in the 1-10 μJ range.1 Such compact fiber-based sources of high-energy ultrashort pulses are of strong interest as potential replacements of bulk solid-state lasers in a variety of nonlinear applications. This implies further demand for the increase of attainable pulse energies into the sub-100 μJ range.
