High-repetition-rate UV generation with diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 lasers

Abstract

A variety of materials-processing applications require short ultraviolet laser pulses delivered at high repetition rates and high average power. In this paper, we describe generation of the second through fifth harmonics of a high-power, high-repetition-rate Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser pumped by a fiber-coupled diode bar.
