Abstract
We have developed a compact Nd:glass laser system based on chirped-pulse amplification,1 as shown in Fig. 1, to produce short x-ray pulses for various applications in, e.g., material sciences and nondestructive testing. The oscillator produces 100-ps pulses at a 1.053-nm wavelength.
