Abstract

The evolution of telecommunications towards all-optical long haul, high bit rate optical fibre links brings forward the need for chromatic dispersion compensation. Long linearly chirped fiber Bragg gratings written in photosensitive fibers are believed to be key components for in-fiber dispersion compensation.1
