Abstract

Gated imaging techniques such as transient holography1 and short pulse optical ranging2 can be used to construct three dimensional images. However, the ability to image an object is limited by the intensity of the signal which, in some applications such as imaging of objects embedded in a highly scattering medium, may be severely attenuated.
