Abstract

In atmospheric LID AR systems, broadband background noise has to be eliminated in order to reduce signal power requirements. Atomic line filters (ALFs) are suited for that purpose.1 For our application, a satellite borne backscatter lidar, main requirements were compactness, low power consumption, and robustness.
