Growth and properties of a new nonlinear optic crystal– −K2La1-xNdx(NO3)52H2O

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Neodymium depod potassium Lanthanum nitrate dihydrate crystal—-K2La1-xNdx- (NO3)2H2O(KLNN) is a new compound with larger second harmonic generation efficiency. The transmission spectrum is from 0.33 pm to 2.35 pm. It has larger nonlinear optic coefficient than KDP. It is nearly noncritically phase matched at room temperature for type 1 frequency-doubling of 1.06- pm light.
