Abstract
There has recently been increasing interest in the coherence of the copper vapor laser (CVL).1,2 It had been believed thatthe definite cavity mode of a CVL was not established and the coherence of this laser beam was very poor during laser pulses since the cavity mode structure had not been observed in the spectrum for a long time. More recently,3 however, we presented the separated longitudinal modes of the CuBr laser lines by suppressing the oscillation of the high-order transverse modes.
