Abstract

Phased array of low-power, single-frequency, high-efficiency laser can yield high brightness beams. This technique has been widely investigated for semiconductor lasers. A wave guide CO2 laser is a high-intensity, high-efficiency, single frequency source but the mode area, and consequently the output power, is small.
