Generation of blue and green light by type-II frequency mixing and frequency doubling in KTP channel waveguides

Abstract

Type-II frequency reconversion processes in bulk KTP crystals, such as frequency doubting of 994-nm light1 and sum-frequency mixing of 809-nm and 1064-nm light,2 are known to have broad phase mate hing tolerances. The relative insensitivity of these processes to changes in source wavelength and ambient temperature make them attractive for practical applications.
