Enhancement of Cu atom emission from a laser-generated plume in Ar gas

Abstract

Pulsed laser ablation of a solid surface has proved to be an effective method of material removal. Spectroscopic study of the plume can be utilized as an analytical method to detect the ejected particles from the solid target.
