Lidar biomonitoring in the sea: problems and new possibilities

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Phytoplankton is still the only biological object in the sea accessible for lidar techniques. The important role of phytoplankton in global biogeochemical processes and biological productivity of the ocean, afforded by its capability for photosynthesis, determines the need for development of modern methods and instrumentation for its monitoring.
