Abstract

We report a novel technique for cavity dumping, which employs an intracavity optical parametric oscillator (OPO) to produce the cavity dumping effect. The device generates 1.7 W of output power for repetition rates of 10-20 kHz. Typical pulse lengths are 3 ns.
