First 1-kW XeCl laser

Abstract

At CLEO'92, we presented a laser with an energy of 15 J per shot and the preparation of 1 kW XeCl laser; now the first, to our knowledge, 1 kW average power excimer laser has been obtained with SOPRA VEL prototype. It gives 10 J /shot at 100 Hz or 13 J at 80 Hz; that is the main goal of Eureka program EU205.
