Abstract

The nonlinear optical properties of quantum confined nanocrystals of indium phosphide (InP) deposited in porous Vycor glass were investigated at 850 run using the z-scan¹ technique. In addition, the characteristics of an optical limiter using the quantum dot glass as the nonlinear element were measured.
