Abstract

The primary motivation for interest in photonics for telecommunications is the potentially large throughput of tree-space photonic switching systems.1 One possible optica) switching component that is used by AT&T's Photonic Switching Technologies Group is the symmetric self-electro-optic effect device (S-SEED).2
