Coherent recombination of laser beams transmitted through a bundle of polarization preserving single-mode fibers

Abstract

In several uses of laser such as material processing we need to transmit laser light with a power level >100 W. This can be performed by mirrors or fibers in which case multimode fibers are commonly used.1 The energy of a beam transmitted through a multimode fiber disperses into different modes independently of the original mode structure.
