Time resolved nondegenerate four-wave mixing in the photorefractive material KNbO3:Ni

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We report, we believe for the first time, time resolved nondegenerate four-wave mixing in a new type photorefractive material KNbO3:Ni with photorefractive gratings written by nanosecond pulses. In this experiment, two writing pulses from a tunable dye laser were pumped by second-harmonic generation of a YAG laser with 8-ns pulsewidth and 10-Hz repetition rate.
