Abstract

To improve drive symmetry for inertial confinement fusion (ICF) targets, We continue to improve our ability to measure and balance the output power produced by different beams of the Nova laser. Our efforts arc a critical part of the Precision Nova project, established in 1989. Other in1portant tasks in the Precision Nova project include improving routinely available output energy, beam pointing accuracy, target diagnostics, and target fabrication technology.
