Abstract
The major achievements of physical, technical, and technological approaches to developing and building large-size laser mirrors will be presented. The wide variation of different materials, such as inver, silicon carbide, and carbon-silicon-silicon carbide composite for high intensity laser mirror production is discussed. The influence of a mirror's internal structure and metrical stability on laser-induced mirror stressed states are considered.
