Spatial subharmonics generation

Abstract

Spatial subharmonics generation was reported1 for the first time in BSO crystals, and relevant theory was further developed.2 We propose a new concept of self-development of spatial subharmonics and verify our model by observing subharmonics in several materials with a physical nature of nonlinearity distinct from that of BSO crystals.
